Jill Cook

Jill Cook

Jill has lived in the Tri-Cities since 1996 when she moved here from Winnipeg.  She is a graduate of the University of Manitoba with a BA (Hons) in English Literature and a Cert.Ed.  Her first career was as a teacher-librarian, and she has a long history with libraries having worked for 15 years for the Winnipeg Public Library and more recently as a board member and chair of the Port Moody Library Board and Vice-Chair of InterLink.  For the past 15 years, she has devoted her professional energies to non-profits in our community: CEO of the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce, Executive Director of the Coquitlam Heritage Society, the Crossroads Hospice Society, and the Coquitlam Foundation. She still provides assistance to non-profits through governance workshops, interim positions, and volunteer work.  Jill lives in Coquitlam with her husband and two dogs and has been known to say that she still misses the prairies.
