The Glass Half-Full

In this time of uncertainty, it’s good to have a “Glass Half-Full” mentality and to maintain a positive outlook on life.

We are being pulled and tugged in many different directions, which is impacting our mental health and making it very difficult to consistently maintain a positive mind set.

However, by expanding and growing our positive thinking skills, we can have a direct impact on benefitting our mental well-being.  We all have a choice to either be optimistic or pessimistic.  It is up to us to set our intentions for the outlook that we wish to have. All these worries and demands can make one feel defeated, creating a negative outlook on life. By allowing these stresses to take control, we begin to lose that “Glass Half-Full” mentality. We lose optimism and begin to trail on the path of a negative mindset.

In order to stay strong and to shift our focus, we will need to pause, and counter our habitual thoughts with positive observations and gratitude. When we find ourselves in a low mood, or suffering mentally, the  situation is calling us to step out of comfort zones and set intentions to look for opportunities to shift. This will give us the strength to grow and connect with our inner resources.

“It’s not the situation, but whether we react negatively or respond positively to the situation that is important.” Zig Zagler
